About

Bonjour! I do not remember a time without the evident drive for flowers, at thirteen my father helped grow and sell flowers locally in Rockhampton. At university I specialised in both flora and fauna, which lead to my first profession as an Environmental Planner. After both my sons were established at school, I studied floristry under the Master, Amanda Meads, The Flower School (Hamilton).

August 2015, I opened my own home based floristry (Brisbane Bayside) and travelled to Honolulu, (Hawaii Islands) to be tutored by Paiko, on traditional lei creations and mini succulent gift creations. Until COVID 2019, I also contracted to or worked for other florists in Upper Mount Gravatt, Cleveland, Jimboomba, Chermside, Deception Bay, Toowong and Indooroopilly. 2017, I tutored under Matthew Landers in Perth, ‘Large Scale Event Design Course’ (Flower Wall, Hanging Installation and Arbour/Archways) and also travelled to London to tutor at the Jane Packer Flower School, ‘Blooming Techniques’. 2019, I tutored under Van de Bloem, Keukenhof (Amsterdam), ‘Bouquet Framing’ and then under Catherine Muller, Paris (France), where I received a ‘Special Wedding Diploma’. 2020, I completed my ‘Master of Business (Event Management)’ at Griffith University, which also included formal accounting expertise. 2022, I operated solely online, based at Park Road within the inner-city precinct of Milton. April 2023, I opened instore at Paddington Central Shopping Centre, located in the middle of the picturesque Latrobe Terrace, Paddington. September 2024, I closed our doors as we had been economically crushed by rent and inter-centre product competition.

My business aim for Fleuristerie, an independent, full-service floristry, is not to sell flowers per se but to offer you the art of floristry. All goods within my full service floristry will have been either formed, crafted, moulded or directly sourced by me for you.
